I have been living in California since 1991. When It came to renewing my driver’s license I was told that New York had stop on my license for traffic tickets and they couldn’t renew my license until New York released my license on their end. After days and weeks of trying to contact New York DMV in Albany and hours of holding on the phone I finally threw in the towel and contacted Susan M. Veltry form Veltry Law P.C. Once I contacted her assistant and gave her all the information on the phone she contacted me the next day. With in minutes she pulled up my DMV Abstract from 1981 to 1985 and advised me that some one by the name of Fredrick Walker with a different birthdate and address apparently with my license number was erroneously entered in the DMV system. It was a nightmare for me to resolve this on my own. She advised me the best thing to do is to pay the $300 Civil Penalty for driving without insurance that was attached to my license and call the Nassau County District Court House to have them remove 2 other tickets that was attached to my license with the same guy and have them remove it . She immediately sent me a link to the DMV to pay the Civil penalties of $300 fine (by the way I could have never been able to do this without her help because it was almost 41 years ago & DMV web site would not recognize my license number from 41 years ago.) I called the court house the next day last week and as of today all is cleared according to New York DMV in Albany. They are sending me a letter that states release of the hold on my California License from New York and once I receive it I can go to San Diego DMV and renew my California license. From the initial consultation Sue made it easy clearly explaining the legal process. I truly appreciate Susan Veltry for helping me out without even expecting a fee for her services. My wife got a violation for "driving too close" she didn't know it would be 4 points on her license and a increase in our insurance.
